NGO AzBuki from Nis presented the project “Supporting the autonomy of movement of disabled youth through guidance”, which was selected for funding under the Erasmus + KA2 strategic partnership in the field of youth.

At the presentation, which was held in the EU info point in Nis, it was said that the general goal of the project will be to support young people with disabilities and youth workers who work with young people with disabilities. According to them, the support consists in the development and use of tools to increase awareness and understanding of the rights of persons with disabilities to become independent in movement, regulate access and encourage social inclusion by using the internet map of accessible places for free activities.

“In this way, young people with disabilities are empowered to protect and use their rights, primarily the right to mobility through the possibility of using existing and new available locations for spending free time. Location mapping, updating and using internet tools enable young people with disabilities to contact their peers and prevent social isolation, “said the NGO AzBuki.

The project is implemented by the NGO AzBuki from Nis, together with partners from Bulgaria and Italy, and is financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus + program.
